A new year means new beginnings and with that comes new challenges to face. My dear friend and fellow designer, Mye DeLeon, had a baby on December 27th. Precious Alphonse has a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot and he will require surgery next month. It will cost the DeLeon’s a minimum of $12,500 to have the surgery done. There is a GORGEOUS collab being put together by many of the designers in the community and it should be released soon. In the meantime, even if you only have a few dollars to spend, Mye has her shop at Pixels & Co on sale, including several dollar items. She also offers a web design/logo/blog design service called My Creative Zone (and she’s GOOD! If you don’t believe me, just look around…Mye did it all!). This new year brings new beginnings for me as well.
As many of you know by now, Scrappity-Doo-Dah closed its doors as of 1/1/13. SDD has been my digihome for over two years now and in many ways my heart and head are still reeling. It was a very special place, full of very special people and I will miss it greatly.
But, as Maria says in the Sound of Music, “When the Lord closes a door, somewhere he opens a window.” And so He does.
I am excited to announce that I will be opening shop at Gotta Pixel on January 15th.
It will be a festive beginning – a big sale, new FB freebie, grab bag and sometime in January I’ll be hosting a chat in the GP chat room! Whew!
I’m already hosting a challenge this month at GP – it’s the Use the Prompts Challenge. Starting in February, most of the challenges at GP will earn you points good toward “Pixel Bucks” that you can spend in the store. Come on over and check out the community – and I’d LOVE if you joined me in the challenge!
